San Diego: Fairweather

Last weekend, one of my best friends graduated from National University with her Masters in Public Health!  The ceremony was held in San Diego at Petco Park.  So we made the treacherous drive down from LA to support her.  Seriously though, WHY does that drive suck so much?! TIP: do not try to drive to and from San Diego in one day.  There is a 100% chance you will spend more time in the car than you do anywhere else.  That being said, we had a great time!  The weather was beautiful, the company was great and everyone was dressed up picture perfect.yellow selfie

Seating at the park was first come first serve and we were v late due to unexpected traffic.  All the shady spots were taken so we ended up in the nosebleeds just to beat the heat, but check out this view!IMG_0665IMG_0597

After Christina received her degree, we had some time to kill before dinner and headed to Fairweather.  This is a must visit if you are in the Gaslamp San Diego area.  It is a rooftop bar with a tropical vibe and beautiful view of Petco Park.  yellow X

I ordered a Daiquiri to match my dress.

I got this dress at a sample sale at work recently and I love it! The embroidered peek-a-boo details and lace up neck are so cute.  The length is perfect for my tall self and the color somehow complements my skin and hair instead of washing me out.  The dolman elbow sleeve and elastic waist make for a great easy fit, too.  It got a little wrinkly from sitting so much but kept me pretty cool in the heat. IMG_0746

Overall it was a really fun day!  I am so proud of Christina and so grateful to have such awesome girlfriends in my life.  IMG_0614

Directions to Fairweather:  The address is 793 J St but you’ll actually turn down a non-sketchy alley off of J St and enter though the downstairs restaurant Rareform.
