Colorful Sunny Friday

Autumn comes a little late in Los Angeles. Here we are, half way through the month of November, and we finally had a whole week of temps below 70 and even a little sprinkle of rain last night. Starting work at the crack of dawn (literally the sun is rising as I clock in), naturally,  all my colleagues busted out the flannels, infinity scarves and boots to bundle up this morning.  Little did we know that the sun would crash the sweater party when we went outside for lunch!

I know it sounds like a crazy complaint, but I’m so ready for it to cool down and be able to dress for the season! One of my favorite things about this time of year is new clothes. Pulling out last year’s boots.. cringing because they were supposed to be an “investment” piece but you’re so over it and just want one of each of Dolce Vita’s new arrivals. Trying on that super cute thermal you had stored away from Christmas last year and finding a hole.. but also finding an excuse to plan a trip to Nordstrom  to stock up on everything Splendid.

Another great place I’ve found for sweaters might be surprising to you, ooor you probably already know and have been buying their clothes for years.. It’s Victoria’s Secret!  I get their email newsletter and I’m such a sucker for their deals.  This Waffle-Knit Hoodie was just too cute and cozy to pass up. The hardest part of the decision was picking one of the nine amaze colors. I’m really feeling burgandy/plum/wild-black-raspberry-grape-merlot/whatever-you-want-to-call-it right now so I went with the Black Orchid Heather.  Although I have to admit, it is really not color as pictured online.  #ohwell #stillloveit It is so soft and comf and warm, too. You’re sure to see repeats of this guy til Spring. #youvebeenwarned

Those lovely blues were such a score, too! 50% to be exact – during a private sale last weekend on the 7 For All Mankind online store.  They’re back to regular price for now but I’m so happy with them I would even say they’re still totally worth it.  The Skinny in Ultra Siren Blue is hand sanded for a light to dark fade on the front with contrast stitching, rose gold hardware and navy labels for the true definition of a easy day-to-night jean. *bonus* you can’t even tell I splashed soda on them an hour earlier. #7obsessions

Last but not least: the boots. I am proud to say this will be their third fall/winter with me.  Even though it’s technically a juniors department, I still feel it’s hard to go wrong in bp at Nordstrom. These tan canvas and faux leather combat/moto boots are my go-to neutral footwear. Skinny jeans, skirts and all year round.  #couldntaskformore Except I did recently snag a new similar pair… stay tuned for those another day.  In the meantime you can find similar cutie booties here, here, here, and here.

K thanks for stopping by!  Happy Friday!
